This is really an excellent heavy duty workdesk that serves my small home music studio just perfect. The upper shelf is just wide enough to place my monitor speakers and the lower shlef/main desk is quite deep to hold a fairly big mixer if you need. Very strong desk, and it's great that you can place the main desk and upper shelf at any height you want! For the price this can't be beat.
