OSP Designs Orion L-Shaped Desk Review

I was looking for a bigger desk for my studio, and decided an L-Shaped desk would be the way to go. Since the cooler, more aesthetically pleasing one I wanted from OfficeMax wasn't going down to the price I wanted, I decided on this.

In short, I probably should have waited for the ones I wanted, but these aren't bad- it is super light once set up too, probably because of a great weight distribution.

The set up process was a little annoying because the instructions, although decent, weren't great. The instructions didn't do a good enough job of letting you know which side was which, so I ended up setting the entire thing up just to realize that some of the support rods were facing the wrong direction, forcing me to take it apart just to get one specific screw in one specific hole, facing one specific direction. This was a bit annoying considering I was doing it by myself. Took about 2-3hrs to set up because of this.

I decided not to attach the hutch because I am a Law Student, and need all the desk space I can get for my books and both laptops. Also, there are supposed to be 4 holes to hold the suction cups for the hutch glass, but 2 of them weren't drilled through all the way. It looked like the manufacturer attempted to drill them, but the weakness of the metal wouldn't allow for the hole to be cut, so they decided to leave it- so I CAN'T USE THE HUTCH EVEN IF I WANTED TO. ALSO, the hutch only attaches to the side in the picture, even though the instruction alludes that it is transferable. Since I don't plan on using it, I guess it doesn't affect me.

Overall, since I like to design my space in a particular manner, these definitely go with the motif, but if I had to do it again, I would have spent about $30 more for my first choice.

In my book, SAVE YOUR MONEY if you need the hutch and like easier assembly; If you want something that is good looking (not great looking), live in a studio, and don't mind cleaning your desk often, then these are an alright buy.
