One of the reviewers here seems to think they should have gotten a Thomasville desk for the price of a cheap desk and it doesn't work that way. This is vinyl laminate over press board, about as cheaply as you can make a piece of furniture but still have it look nice after it's put together. It's also important to closely and properly follow the assembly instructions or you'll not be happy with the fit and finish of the final product.

The pros:

Inexpensive
About as well made as any assemble it yourself press board furniture
Looks much more expensive when it's done
Has good weight capacity

Cons:

You have to put it together Hint: Use a low torque cordless screwdriver on the 56 screws provided - do NOT use a cordless drill with a screwdriver bit or you'll strip out every single hole

It's heavy! Don't assemble this in the garage thinking you'll carry it into the house. Assemble it where it is going to live forever.

Easy to scratch/dent during assembly - assemble on carpet or fully open the shipping carton and use that for assembly.

If you buy this from one of the office supply stores on sale and use one of their coupons found online, you'll get it delivered to your door for less than $140. Allow three hours for assembly time and take the time to properly align the doors and shelf moldings.

Now, the biggest issue of all during assembly - square up the whole thing with a tape measure before attaching the backing. The backing doesn't look like much but is absolutely critical to a final product that looks attractive. Even 1/4 inch out of square will throw off your door and molding alignments - take the time to get it perfect and you'll be very happy with the final unit.
