My husband has approximately 450 movies on dvd plus a number of tv series on dvd. He had his collection on these flimsy short shelves. When we got married we wanted something that would look very nice to house his impressive collection. Boy am I glad we bought 2 of these. We bought 2 of them online in the dark cherry color for $189.99 each including shipping. They came in about 2 weeks. You have to assemble them yourself but they were relatively simple to assemble and they do look very nice. Much nicer then any media cabinet I've seen on the market and in local stores. The front doors, sides, top, and bottom are made of solid wood. The back is made of plywood. They seem sturdy and look like they will last for many years. Definitely a good investment.
