What's with all the negative reviews? This is a great cart for ANY price, and very reasonably priced for the high quality.

1) The wheels have a somewhat medicinal rubbery smell to my nose, almost like carbolic if anyone remembers what hospitals used to smell like when carbolic was the disinfectant of choice. But the smell is not so bad that it's overwhelming and I can't keep it inside, that's just absurd, unless maybe you're one of those hyper-sensitive people who find any scent unbearable.

I also like the fact that it has rubber wheels for quietness, and on a solid heavy-duty rim, which looks like they will really stand up for a good long time and take a pounding.

2) Assembly was a CINCH - it took all of 2 minutes and about as much skill as falling off a log. Really, if you can line a round washer up onto a rod, and insert a cotter pin in a hole, you can assemble this with no problems. No struggle, nothing tight, no tools required, etc.

3) The bag is a type of rayon it appears, which yeah it's not going to last forever, but, hey it's cheap enough to replace when the time comes. I really like the flap that covers the top of the bag!

4) These carts can haul up to 150lb when the load is EVEN - it likely won't hold up if you put cinderblocks in one corner and then drag the cart sideways up several flights of stairs. I wouldn't let my overly plump 12 yr old stand up and ride in it either.

But, given most of us will simply buy groceries with these types of carts, I can say I can easily fit 4 bags in the cart and have used it to haul 60lbs of cat food bags with these types of carts no problems. This cart is made from heavier gauge steel wire and I expect it should handle a heavy load up and down street curbs no problem.

I think the cart is well worth the price - if you look at similar types of carts at Target, they want $35 for a smaller, weaker model with no extras like the rubber wheels (Target carts have wheels that have brittle plastic that break off their inner hubs!) and a smaller extra basket on the back, and a liner to boot!

You cannot beat this deal. I love this cart :)
