Boss B8106 Executive Chair, Black Review

Just got this chair. It's quite comfortable, sturdy, and seems well made for a very affordable price.

Assembly was very easy and took about 15 mintues. I'm not sure why other reviewers seemed to indicate some difficulty. One small piece of advice: don't tighten the bolts on the arms all the way until you have the whole chair assembled. That way, you leave yourself some give in the structure, making it easier to align the bolts with the holes. Once you have all the bolts in, tighten them up.

Sauder Shoal Creek Lateral Filing Cabinet Review

Warning: this item when shipped to your home will be extremely heavy. And what is interesting to note is that it is made of particle-board, not solid wood. My husband and I put it together (at a leisurely pace) over about 2 hrs and are overall pleased with it for what we paid. Definitely don't recommend paying full price for this. There were many scratches/chips/splits in the wood (probably because of shipping but still...it is very heavy to move!) We were able to position one of the upper doors so the major chip is not too noticeable, but still. For this price and the amount of work we put into it, the pieces should arrive near perfect. And did I mention it was heavy? It took two very strong men about 20 min to bring it up the stairs to our apartment and once the thing was set up, my husband and I struggled to move it into place. So, this leads me to another warning: make sure you assemble it in very close proximity to where you will keep it. Overall, I do sort of like it as it stores a lot of files in the drawer and large binders (laying on their sides) in the cabinets. The finish picks up fingerprints very well and the top surface easily becomes smudged. Not sure yet if I would purchase this again or not.

Stanley S819-034 Soft-jamb Child Safe Doorstops White Pack of 3 Review

After several weeks of our twins avidly pursuing all of the spring-style doorstops in our home, we had been left with six missing caps (which, thankfully, we could account for and were not eaten), two bent doorstops, and two little boys who loved to pull on them to hear the loud, "SPROING!" sound they make when you pull them back and let them go. Then these arrived. Directions were clear--we did have to drill the pre-existing holes a little bit bigger to accomodate the screws, but it tells you on the package which bit to use to drill the hole. I bought the white ones because our baseboards are all white, and I wanted them to blend in. My only complaint is that they have NO give--they don't budge, and aren't sproingy at all, and I worry that soomeday, that may result in damage to the door. But I suppose if they were, the boys would be all over them again, figuring out new ways to amuse themselves with them. Apparently, these new ones are quite boring. And much safer--one solid piece with a screw sticking out of the bottom. And I bought these ones intentionally because they're like an eighth inch longer than another brand that's available, and someone had complained that their doorknob hit the wall before the doorstopper had a chance to work. No problrms like that here. Glad I bought them.

PRISM TL-7000BK Multi-Function LED Desk Lamp with Anti-Glaring Filter, Black Review

I received this lamp exactly one week ago as of today. After having owned the lamp for one week and putting it through vigorous tests I have to say that this is by far the best lamp that I have ever owned. I am currently a senior in college majoring in Business Administration Management (BA) which correlates to a huge workload requiring putting in long hours and extensive amounts of reading/studying. It is so easy to read with this lamp in comparison to that of other natural daylight fluorescent lamps because it has an integrated light filtering feature that causes less strain on your eyes. I have used this lamp non-stop for over 7 hours at a time as I crammed for multiple exams and worked on papers and it performed exceptionally well by not giving me a headache as other lamps tend to do. On the main setting that I use (Cool - level three bright setting) which according to the lamp manual states that it produces (6500k- Kelvin) it is as bright as the sun itself. When using the lamp on this setting the light emitted from the lamp honestly feels like I am outside reading in direct natural daylight when in fact I am up at 4am studying. This lamp is absolutely amazing because it has so many features and its light scale is very dynamic ranging from 2500k-6500k on the Kelvin light scale. It has three light settings which include bright, cool, and warm. Each setting can be adjusted on a scale ranging from 1 -producing low light, 2 - producing medium light, and 3 - being the brightest possible light setting. The lamp itself is very lightweight and maneuverable and can articulate in seemingly any position that you need to which is a very important feature as some lamps are very heavy and cant be adjusted to needed positions. The only thing that I can say that concerned me about this lamp was the packaging. When the lamp arrived via (UPS) it was a bit damaged on the bottom of the box making me think that the product itself was damaged. After opening up the box and analyzing its contents under close inspection I concluded that the lamp was fine and no damage at all was apparent. Before I bought this lamp I did read from other various reviews posts whom had also purchased this lamp to not purchase this product because they thought/assumed that it was used and/or damaged. Please do not let those reviews discourage you from purchasing this lamp you will definitely regret it. As I sated, the outside of the lamp packaging was damaged a bit but the contents inside were perfectly fine. In fact, one reviewer even stated "Unfortunately, I never even plugged it in. I pulled it out of the box and was initially convinced it was used!" Like I said Give this lamp a chance, I promise you if you read and study as much as I do or just need a good natural light source you cant go wrong with this lamp. Also this lamp has a 3 year manufacturer warranty so no worries. It the perfect price for such a great product and besides if you do have an issue Amazon.com is amazing and they really care about their customers and I am sure that they will be happy to assist you if a problem should arise.

HON Volt H5703 Task Chair with Synchro-Tilt for Office or Computer Desk, Black SofThread Leather Review

I've had a HON chair for 20 years and felt it was time to replace it. I didn't want anything fancy, and I just needed a task chair without arms. Having had a HON chair for so long I thought I'd give them another go.

I received the box and found the packaging to be lack luster and almost inadequate. I wasn't too pleased with that, but it arrived safely, and I didn't buy it for the box so no big deal there.

The instructions were about what you'd expect. A sheet showing how it all goes together and a sheet on how to operate it. Putting it together took all of 10 minutes and only required the included hex wrench. Once it was together I found the wheels rolled very smoothly and the seat spun easily with almost no effort. I tried out the reclining and found that only the back tilted. I was getting concerned because the seat was supposed to angle too and I could not find a way to make that happen. After much fiddling I figured out that the set height adjustment lever needs to be pulled to allow the seat to recline with the back. Maybe they should have included that in the operations "manual", but even with a second read through there was no mention of that.

I found the tension knob to be situated a bit further under the seat than was comfortable to reach while sitting, but being that you only adjust it once and then likely leave it there for the life of the chair, that wasn't a big deal to me.

The "leather" was decent and looks to be easy to wipe down if needed. The cushion is adequate but don't expect to feel like a king sitting in it. I will say that this chair feels a bit wider than your usual task chair, but not in a bad way.

Do note that the back of the chair does not adjust in height.

Overall it's a good chair, and for this price you really can't find much better.
