The eight recessed lights in our sunroom's cathedral ceiling had can covers with frosted glass lenses. Those covers and lens looked fine -- except when the lamps were on -- then the frosted glass blocked most of the light from the 26 watt CFL (equivalent to 100w incandescent) bulbs.

These new covers have a clear glass Fresnel lens which lets far more light through, greatly brightening the room with the same bulbs. Installed, they look great, whether the lights are on or off!

The covers look exactly like the Amazon photos. Each cover was in a plastic bag which in turn was in a cardboard sleeve -- the sleeves were in a cardboard box which was in a larger box. In short, they were well packaged for shipment.

The covers are off-white plastic with a "crinkled" finish that is quite attractive, even up close. Because they are plastic, paint won't stick. Each cover has a 3/4" wide, 1/8" thick, white foam gasket to retard any air flow between the can and your room.

This product is reasonably priced, especially when you order them in quantity -- to get the average shipping cost down.
