The mat is good, works for my carpet, the reason it did not get a 5 was because it took over a week to get a smell out of the mat itself. When I opened the box it smelled like a skunk, placed the mat outside for three days and sprayed it with lysol. After about a week the smell started to minimize and within two weeks it was OK. No idea why but it stunk but had I not destroyed the box removing it from the container I would have sent it back
