Okay, first of all, full disclosure. I did not buy this product on Amazon.com. I bought mine from BizChair due to the lower price on that site coupled with free shipping. What you probably need to know is that the Feb. 2013 price-point for this chair is about $135(US), so you are going to pay a bit above MSRP here on Amazon.

As to the chair itself, it is described as "Some Assembly Required." A more accurate description would be "All Assembly Required." I will also note that this is not an easy chair to put together for a single person. In most of the furniture I have put together before the screws are intentionally *Extra Long* to make placing the screws a bit easier in poor lighting. For this chair the screws are "Just long Enough" to hold the chair together, which results in a frustrating task when placing the screws.

The problems with the screw length are further compounded by the construction quality. Some of the mounting points for the screws on my chair were out of alignment, either forcing the screw to be set at an off angle, or making life really difficult getting the screw into place.

The problems with screw length and insert placement are compounded by the, ahem, plushiness of the chair. The Seat and Back of the chair have pegs that are supposed to insert into the Arms of the chair. For my chair the pegs in the Seat and Back were not aligned with the actual holes in the leather.

Your best bet for actually *putting* this chair together is as follows: Start with the two top screws on the Back of the Chair and the Arms of the chair. These are the most shallow and difficult screws to set. Once you have those screws started, then attempt to place the lower two screws on the Back of the Chair with the Arms.

After you have the Arms loosely attached to the back, you *should* be able to place the arms on the Seat and start the screws there. Once you have the 8 main screws in, tighten away, set the caps, and relax. Hopefully you will not scuff your chair as much as I scuffed mine.

So, construction difficulties aside, once you actually get the chair together, be prepared for mediocre seat quality. However, this is not exactly a full feature chair to begin with. If you are on this page, it's because you want to know about that massage capability. Well, this chair doesn't have the fanciest remote or settings, and you are tethered by a rather poorly placed electrical cord, but it does deliver the good vibrations. As long as you weren't planning on re-enacting Bugs Bunny's Barber of Seville chair scenes, that shouldn't be a problem.

In fairness, this is a much better chair than what you would get if you took $150 down to your local Staples, Office Max, or Wal-Mart. So it is good value for money, at least as a chair. When considering the vibrating capabilities, this almost becomes a "Must Have" at it's price point. Just be prepared for a painful construction period, and do not expect to be amazed by the comfort of sitting down.
