This stand is super strong and super portable. At first I thought that I got ripped because I hand to tighten the knobs to death to keep it from caving, but I soon found out there are these slots for the fold-out arms and base to sit it and completely lock. Even if you're going to tilt the arms holding your laptop/hardware downwards, as long as you've locked the base, you're good to go.

I carry this around to do small recording gigs as well as dj gigs. I'm always ending up on the ground, so this is a good way to keep the laptop off the dirty and sometimes carpeted ground.

On my Toshiba Satellite, the volume knob gets blocked by one of the stoppers, but that's only because it's a weird design. I just shift it a little to either the left or right and I'm good.

Set up and take down are very easy. This is a very good product for the mobile whatever.
