I searched quite a bit and was about to settle for either a cheaper version of the table from the same manufacturer (did not have the backboard nor the casing) or for a cheaper table from another manufacturer when I came across this table. I am glad I did. For the extra 50 bucks this has been a great purchase. Solid, sturdy, lots of space for your materials etc. My daughter loves it and now uses it not only for drawing but also sits there and does her homework and reading. It looks sleek and blends right in. It is a bit big so we did not put it in her bedroom and now this way even the boys are able to use it. Only wish it had a proper place for a light (but I have stuck a fluorescent light under the shelf and actually works really great for my daughter's needs).
If you are in the market for a drawing / drafting / crafting/art table, this is really a good product.
