This product is basically as simple as it looks. I presume it's this expensive because it's "100% Made in the USA". Also there don't seem to be many similar products available, and it does make a computer convenient for a standing user without taking up much space. The fit and finish would blend in with any office environment. The single point of contact on the floor makes the unit easy to clean around. When assembled correctly the unit seems quite solid. This product is better than a similar one that a vendor was trying to sell me for twice as much, so maybe I shouldn't complain about the price.I think I'm going to have to get a trackball for the computer I have mounted in this unit, because the keyboard shelf is really too tiny for using a mouse. (The shelf is less than five inches deep.) I also worry that people will knock the keyboard off the shelf, so I might have to just attach it with screws or glue or something. Alternatively one could make a larger shelf, out of plywood or melamine or something.
You'll want to use a long level or plumb-bob to make sure you get the pole mounts vertically aligned.
The drywall anchors are unlike any I've seen before, and are tricky to use. Fortunately they sent me six (for four holes), because I needed to waste two before I figured out how to use them. Once you've flattened the metal piece against the inside of the drywall and you've got the plastic collar shoved all the way into the hole in the drywall on the outside, DON'T immediately break off the plastic stems flush with the collar like the directions say. Break the stems so you leave about 3/4 of an inch sticking out. Then you can use those remaining stems to shift the metal piece slightly while you gently turn the bolt to start it in the metal piece. If you just shove the bolt in it will cross-thread and you'll just break the piece off the back of the stems leaving it unusable. Once you have the bolt started you can reverse it back out, then place the pole mount over the hole and re-thread the bolt back in. If you're gentle all will be well and you can then tighten the bolt.
It was annoying that even though the parts list claimed (4) 10-32 carriage bolts (also called 3/16" fine-thread) that are used with the 10-32 thumb nuts, it actually included 10-24 or coarse-thread bolts. These were unusable, and my local hardware store didn't carry carriage bolts that tiny so I just had to use normal hex-head bolts, which stick up too far.
