Zuo Fly Bar Chair, Espresso Review

Over all, these chairs are very cosmetically pleasing. I purchased 4 of these chairs. They arrived a little slower than expected, but not too bad, plan ahead. Upon opening each box, I found the chairs to be very carefully packaged so that nothing would be damaged in shipment as long as the box isn't pierced. If any of your boxes are pierced, be sure to open them while the shipper is present because there could be damage. After carefully removing all of the protective wrap from each piece, I assembled the chairs. Assembly was super easy. Keep in mind that you get what you pay for and for the price, these chairs are terrific.

I only have a few MINOR complaints. For this reason, I couldn't give more than four stars.

1. The bottom of the chair seat has 4 holes drilled in it. The holes are directly through the fabric. They are not finished off holes.
2. The chrome colored lining you see around the edges of the bottom and back seat have a protective plastic that is very difficult to remove, mostly between the seat bottom and seat back.
3. The seams of the edging aren't perfect. This isn't too bad though because they are strategically placed; therefore, they aren't overtly visible.

On a side note, the fabric is NOT shiny like the picture shows. It is very flat, more like a leather would look instead of shiny vinyl. Overall, these chairs are a fantastic buy!!!

Embody Chair by Herman Miller - Fully Adjustable Arms - Black Rhythm Fabric on Graphite Frame and Base Review

All you need to know about this chair is that it is worth ~$1,500.

I bought my Embody ten months ago, and in that time it has done exactly what I've want it to do: be totally unnoticeable. Long story short: the Embody is effortlessly supportive without being too firm or too soft, almost ridiculously adjustable, and moves with you naturally.

The "spine" support down the back of the chair not only looks cool, but it actually works - you stretch or lean back, and it stretches and leans with you. The Embody is so great you won't notice how great it is, which is the gold standard for a desk chair. It won't fix existing back problems or perform any other miracles, but the level of support and comfort is top of the line. A lot of thought went into every aspect of the design, and it shows. The build quality is leaps and bounds higher than your typical desk chair, and even a bit higher than the Aeron.

Speaking of the Aeron, I have a beat up old Aeron at home that I put together from spare parts of former Venture Capital Dot Com Specials during college. I'm a big fan of the Aeron. The Aeron is a rather comfortable chair in its own right, but the Embody has it beat for all-day comfort, adjustability, support, and flexibility. From a superficial standpoint, while the Aeron is renown as a piece of "industrial design," the Embody is a far lower key item, especially in black on black, which I see as a big plus. Nobody wants to be "that guy" in the office who shelled out for a flashy chair everybody knows is ~$700 when everybody else is using $50 OfficeMax units from the storeroom. Of course, the jig is up when an co-worker happens to sit down in your chair and says "wow, this is really comfortable!"

Obviously, if you are spending this much for a chair, you should put your rear end in a few of them. There are a few players in the very expensive ergonomic chair market (Steelcase, Humanform, or Haworth, for instance) whose products might suit your individual preferences better, but you won't find an overall "better" desk chair at any price. If you like the Embody after a few minutes, you won't be disappointed in the long haul.

Lastly, his might not matter to most people, I always feel good buying something designed AND built (12 year warranty!) in the First World, instead of a Chinese sweatshop. In my eyes, any "luxury" good simply must be built by professionals with health insurance living in a free society.

Holmo Lamp Review

Somehow this came up as a floor lamp when I found it. The dimensions given in the description are completely nonsensical, but I bought it anyway. It's about 3 feet tall, so it makes a really short floor lamp or a really tall desk lamp. I'm using it as the latter, and it seems fine for that. Assembly was easy and it gives a cool ambience to my 1970s office.

The baskets I got with this bookcase were very poor quality. They are unraveling all over. They also have two metal pegs on the bottom that scratch the wood finish of the Shelf. i had to Cover the entire bottom of my baskets with felt and line the insides because they scratch and knick everything they come in contact with. The pictured baskets look a lot smoother, nothing like the ones I got. The shelf itself is pretty good quality.

I was a little nervous about ordering this slip case because the Asus tablet is new, and reviews of similar products said they didn't fit correctly. However, this product fits my tablet like a glove. After you slide the tablet into the case, a velcro strap goes over the top, tucks in behind the tablet, and keeps it from sliding out. All controls and jacks are accessible through correctly aligned cutouts. Cutout for the speakers and camera lenses are also correctly aligned.

The case is attractive with a pebble grain finish and slim profile. The lid is hinged so you can fold it under the case to function as a stand. Two flaps on the back of the case let you to tuck the lid under either one to change the viewing angle. There is a magnetic strip embedded in the lid that holds it against the base and keeps it from flipping open while carrying the case. The inside of the lid is lined with a soft material which tends to attract pieces of grit, crumbs, etc. Since this surface presses directly against the glass, you will want to brush it off before closing it.

All told, a great case and well worth the price.

Boss Heavy Duty Task Chair Review

If you're looking for a heavy duty chair that won't fall apart after a couple of years I'd rate this one five stars if not for two gripes. The back is too low for a tall person and the chair does not recline nearly as far as any chair I've owned previously. These two things combined make the chair uncomfortable to sit in for any length of time and I ended up giving it to my wife. She's a smaller person and it suits her better. So, if you're a big guy (tall) like me you may find this chair uncomfortable. Otherwise, build quality is good and it should hold up well.

I ordered this chair for my granddaughters desk. It is in a small area and did not want the chair taking up a lot of space and this chair just fit the bill. The price was right and it looks great in her bedroom. Takes up no visual space and is quite comfortable. Love the up and down and it does swivel. It does come in a lot of parts but it wasn't that hard to put together so don't get overwhelmed with that when you open the box. Just go step by step. This chair is a hit with the teenager!! Boss Wingback Traditional Chair, Black Review

This chair is not what I expected for the high price. The material is nothing like the picture, which makes the chair look matte and lived in. It is actually a shiny, wet-looking red with flecks of different shades of red all over it. The base is shoddy construction and the metal arms began falling out of the wood almost immediately.

It's also quite small. I am 6'1" and it felt like a child's chair to me. the back comes up to below my shoulders, meaning I cannot comfortable lean back. The armrest are also too low, meaning I have to slouch to put my elbows on them.

Ultimately, this was a big disappointment. I sent this chair back immediately. Not recommended.
