I installed this inexpensive keyboard tray under my desk and I use it several hours a day. It is sturdy, it smoothly extends and retracts 11 inches, and locks when fully extended. To unlock you need to press in a tab on both sides of the tray. This is a little inconvenient, but I never really need to fully extend it anyway. When fully extended I can rest my arms on it and it flexes a bit but doesn't feel like it will break.

The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because you need to assemble the unit yourself and the assembly instructions are confusing. Believe it or not, you can screw up the assembly of this simple unit. When you are fastening the track onto the keyboard tray, the bolts must be inserted so that the nut is on the inside of the unit. If the bolt is inserted the other direction the nut will be on the outside and will jam the track. You can actually put the track together this way, but the unit will not fully extend or retract, and the track will grind against the nut whenever you try. If installed improperly it is very difficult to take the track apart and reinstall correctly. I added a couple of photos to Amazon's product page to help anyone who has trouble.
