Bush Furniture Series C 2 Drawer Lateral Wood File Cabinet in Mocha Cherry Review

My wife and I purchased this Bush Furniture wood filing cabinet, because we had a old ugly aluminum one that needed to be replaced. I did a lot of shopping around for a more attractive filing cabinet and settled on this baby. It takes a bit to put together, but the directions are solid for the most part and the result has been fantastic. It is pretty heavy though, so be aware of that.

The cabinet comes with a few dividers that give you many options in terms of how you want to divide up your files. Without the dividers you can file legal papers the full length of the cabinet. With the dividers, you can do two rows of letter and a smaller section of legal (going in the other direction), along with several varying other permutations. The cabinet also features a lock to that works great.

We were also quite impressed by how much desk space this filing cabinet gave us, given that it is similar in height to our desks. We decided to use the top as a printing station, so we could get the printers off our actual desks, which worked amazingly.

In general, if you are looking for a stylish filing cabinet that can not only hold a ton of various-sized files but also be short enough to utilize as desk space, this is the cabinet for you.

I was very torn between a "4" and a "5" rating. It merits rating it a "5" just on meeting expectations for this price point. It does what it is supposed to for a cheap product. It merits a "4" in comparison to better built, heavier, more expensive carts I have bought before. It is not particularly stable, it can't handle much weight, and the wheels are light and not very durable. I don't think it will stand up to much stress. However, I bought it to help me handle my purse and briefcase when I'm indoors and in a hurry, and I think it accomplishes that very well. Since it folds so small, I can actually keep it with me, at the ready, so that's better than a bigger one for my particular needs. I think this is a great product if you need it to carry light and stable loads on an intermittent basis, over smooth flooring. I don't think it would last long on pavement, or carrying anything of heft. Disappointingly, it will not fit BOTH my big purse AND my briefcase. I still have to carry one.

Casual Home 324-32 Montego 3-Tier Bookcase, Black Review

1x2's are used to support the shelves, with a large diameter screw going into the end grain of 1x2 at both ends. These pieces were so dry, they were brittle. The large screws (installed carefully) caused the wood to fracture, even fully exposing one of the screws and 1/2" beyond. I plan on filling the holes with dowel pieces, and re-drilling the holes to accept good quality 2 1/2"x #10 wood screws. I also bought the 5 shelf tall bookcase, and plan on doing the same to it BEFORE I attempt assembly. Right now, it's still in the box awaiting it's fate. Otherwise...nice finish, and it does look good assembled. What should have been five stars is knocked down to one due to lousy quality control.

I just put this together. It took much longer than anticipated because the instructions were in pictures with no written explanation. Some of the instructions for attaching the top and putting together the drawer were difficult to understand without written explanations. Additionally, major problems were that some of the holes shown in the pictures did not match what was pre-drilled, and some screws would not work in the pre-drilled holes. I had to improvise, and some areas, especially the top and the drawer, are not very sturdy.

There are also a few chips on the exterior, and a scratch on the top, which will show if I place the cart where originally intended. Also, I don't think I will store anything heavy in this.

This is a shame, because this has the potential to be an attractive and useful cart.

These lamps came securely packed in one box. I would call the finish bronze, rather than dark brown. The fabric shades are gold with little flecks of brown. They almost look pink in the picture, but they aren't. The table lamps take up to a 100 watt bulb and the floor lamp up to 150 watts. I am happy with this purchase.

Looks great in my living room. Not too hard to assemble, but don't use a power drill for the screws that go into the top piece of wood - we did and the tip of the screw went thru. Oops.
Bought this to keep my curious toddler from turning on and off my computer.

Only thing that I don't like about this is that if the door aren't 100% open the keyboard tray will create scratches on the inside of the doors. Not a big deal since I'm the only one that sees them, but rounded keyboard tracks would help.
